UGH. This is exactly because of their lifestyle.

It’s because officials like this guy consider the usual UK housing arrangements as normative, and don’t realise the state’s responsibility to support these communities in the ways they want to live that’s the problem here.

In other words, it’s exactly because he is treating the community “the same way as another citizen” as the problem. Equality of opportunity has never meant, and should never mean, treating everyone the same; if it was, see you later Disability Discrimination Act.
